On June 26, 2007, activists from all 50 states gathered in a Capitol Hill rally to demand that Congress restore habeas corpus, fix the Military Commissions Act, end torture and rendition and restore our constitutional rights. Thousands gathered to hear leaders from the Senate, the House and groups including the ACLU, Amnesty International, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights and the National Religious Campaign Against Torture.

The ACLU of Northern California began pressuring the City to disclose this information. The premiere season of The ACLU Freedom Files, an unprecedented new television series from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and award-winning producer/director Robert Greenwald's Brave New Films (Outfoxed, Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price), will be released on DVD on Tuesday, July 25th. The 2-disc set, which will offer subtitles in Spanish, Arabic, and closed captioning for the hearing impaired, will retail for $24.95
